Davidsonville Athletic Association is a non-profit organization administered by a volunteer board whose mission is to promote, encourage, direct and operate athletic programs for the children and youth of the Davidsonville area, Anne Arundel County.
Super Y is the first "national" youth soccer league. Founded in 1999, Super Y consists of over 500 teams in the US and Canada. Super Y consists of local divisions like NCSL. Local division winners (and a wild card team in some instances) are invited to the North American Finals which are held in December at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL (www.sylsoccer.com/finals). DAA Premeir (2003 Girls) participated in the 2017 North American Finals.
Super Y tryouts for DAA teams will occur yearly in February/March.
2019 Tryouts:
February 13th and February 20th
South River High - Turf 2
Super Y season starts in early June and runs into mid-August.
Practices are held 2x per week during this time frame.
Games are held 1x per week, typically on Saturday or Sunday.
There are typically 7-10 games per team per season
Super Y teams are separate from each age-group's current club or rec team. Tryouts are open to players from all surrounding areas. Being part of a DAA club team does not guarantee you a spot on a Super Y summer team
Super Y costs typically range from $350-$500 per player. This includes Super Y team registration and carding fees, referee costs, team trainer fees and team uniform
