Welcome to DAA Girls Basketball
AGES 8 - 13
2020-2021
WINTER REGISTRATION NOW
CLOSED
Your age before September 1, 2020 determines your age level in which you may participate. Example: If your child is in 4th grade and turned 10 before September 1, 2020, she will be required to play up in the 10U (5th grade) group. Age is what the Anne Arundel Recreation and Parks uses to determine their playing level.
ALL players must be 8 years old before competing in a county league game. Example: your 7 year old daughter can play on the 8U county Recreation team as long as she turns 8 years old on or before the first scheduled game
League placement is determined by the players age as of SEPTEMBER 1, 2020. Example: for the team to be placed in a 10U league, NO player on that team can turn 11 years old on or before SEPTEMBER 1st 2020. ALL players MUST be 8 years old before competing in a county league game.
Practices are twice per week and Games will be held on Saturday’s , for teams in the "B" and "A" divisions, there may be games scheduled on Sundays also. Recreation and Parks will determine the gym locations that teams will be required to play in, which can be anywhere throughout Anne Arundel county from as far north as Lake Shore and Brookland Park to as far south as Tracey's Elem. Teams may play in the same gym every week, but in some cases may have to travel to other locations based on gym availability.

You must have completed registration and payment to attend Evaluations
if you do not attend Evaluations, you will automatically be placed on the lowest level team in your age group no matter what team you played for the previous season.
When there are multiple teams in the same age group, Recreation and Parks requires that youth organizations provide teams for each of the appropriate levels of play, requiring an evaluation to determine teams within those age groups.
