Maryland Little League All Star Tournament

South Maryland Little League and the Davidsonville Athletic Association are proud to host the Maryland State All Star Little League Tournament in 2020.  The winner of that tournament goes on to regionals, then a chance to play in Williamsport for in the Little League World Series.

The Maryland Little League All Star Tournement begins on July 18, right here at DAA park.  Come out to watch what will be the highest levels of 12u baseball you will ever see.  This tournament has not been held in Anne Arundel county since the 1950s - so don't miss out on the opportunity to see this talent laden baseball tournament.   Check back in the June/early July timeframe for detailed game schedules.

A tournament of this size and importance can not be accomplished without volunteers or sponsors.  If you can be a sponsor or volunteer to help in any way, please email baseball@daagators.org.

In 2020, Softball has joined South Maryland Little League as an official Little League softball division.

Softball will be offered for 8-11 year old girls in the Little League Minors Division and 6-8 year old girls in the Little Leauge Pony Division.

All players 4-6 are encouraged to particpate in the South Maryland Little League Baseball T Ball and Coach Pitch program, which has served our boys AND girls for over 20 years.  These introductory divisions are the proper place for all our young players to learn the fundamentals of the sport.   At age 7, girls that wish to purse baseball should continue in the SMLL Machine Pitch division and girls that wish to pursue softball should particpate in the SMLL Pony division.

For information about softball registration, dates, divisions, etc., see the Softball Page off of the DAA Baseball Page.

South Maryland Little League - is a chartered affiliate of Little League Baseball, Inc. of Williamsport, PA (www.littleleague.org) and has been serving central Anne Arundel County since 1997. We are a nonprofit organization serving 250 youths playing T-Ball through Little League Juniors.  We are community-neutral and focused solely on baseball.  Our players hail from Annapolis, Bowie, Crofton, Crownsville, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Harwood, Mayo, Riva, South River, and elsewhere. We provide a quality youth baseball program that focuses on teaching the skills of America's Pastime and also helps the young people of our communities learn to work together as a team, develop individual leadership skills and increase their self- confidence.  We have developed players who have gone on to play high school, collegiate, and even professional baseball.

We are staffed entirely by volunteers who are dedicated to creating the best quality program possible for the children, and we need your help to continue this tradition. All funds are generated through fees, fundraisers, business and community support like your own.

Our coaches and umpires attend clinics in the fall and winter for organization and team management, coaching, rules and umpiring.  The SMLL community enjoys the social side of our league at opening day held at Bottner field, a field exclusively dedicated to Little League.
