Assistant Soccer Commissioner:  Looking for an individual with strong organizational skills and the desire to help the program thrive.  The job would consist of answering questions from coaches and parents, checking e-mails, attending some meetings and assisting with the registration process for all levels of soccer.

Soccer Field Coordinator:  Individuals are paid to set up the fields originally and to re-line them on a weekly basis.  However, this person will coordinate the effort.  The field coordinator will be responsible for setting up the flags on game days, turning the lights on and off for evening games, and examining the fields to determine the playability, in the case of adverse weather, on game days.

Welcome to the new GATOR homepage!

After over a year of research and development, the Davidsonville Athletic Association has a new website and online registration service provider.  The Board and Commissioners are very excited about this change, as the new system will drastically reduce the volunteer hours required to manage our organization.

We will be creating our member data base from scratch.  When you register your child for the first time using our new system, we will need to re-capture all information.  This will just take a few minutes of your time but will ensure that all of our data is up-to-date and accurate.  In addition, we will avoid any potential file transfer errors.  Most of the fields will re-populate upon subsequent registrations.

Although the registration process will be different from what you are used to, it is very straight forward and easy to navigate.   Please don’t hesitate to contact Beverly Cauley, Lyn Shoop or Lisa Ellis if you have any questions or need assistance navigating the new webpage or registration system.

Birth Certificate NoteIn accordance with the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks Guidelines and Reference Manual, organizations and coaches are responsible for ensuring that each rostered player is eligible to play. A Coach who signs or plays an ineligible player is subject to disciplinary action, and all games in which the ineligible player participated will be forfeited.  Therefore, beginning in the fall of 2009, all players registered with DAA for a sport that is subject to age-based division will be required to provide proof of age in the form of an original birth certificate. Once your child's birthdate has been verified by the organization, you should not be required to present a birth certificate for subsequent registrations. Your sport commissioner will contact you after registration regarding the specific plans for verifying such information.

To obtain a birth certificate for your child, please visit the National Center for Health Statistics.

Registration Note:   Registration for each sport is typically offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  Registration slots may be limited due to the number of available coaches and practice facilities, and Commissioners may close registration for certain age groups before the date noted on the sport's homepage.  Teams may be added later only if additional coaches volunteer, and there are adequate players and facilities to support another team. Our priority is to provide an opportunity to each child who would like to participate; however, some limitations are unavoidable.
