County Soccer

DAA’s County Soccer program is a competitive recreational soccer program which promotes fair play, good sportsmanship, and having FUN while playing the beautiful game. We devote a particular focus toward player development and creating a stress-free learning environment for players age 7 through 18. Our boys and girls teams are registered in the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association (AAYSA) for both Fall and Spring seasons. The AAYSA is a county-sponsored recreational league that supports several divisions for teams at various skill levels.

Overview

Teams are grouped by age level, ranging from U08 - U18. The age groups for competition for your child are now based on grade year (defined as running from August 1 - July 31), per the new US Soccer Mandate.

The DAA soccer program does its best to group players in their appropriate age group, but based on the number of registrations, roster maximums and skill levels, some players may be grouped differently as necessary.

Where multiple teams are formed at an age group, evaluations will be utilized to place players appropriately for maximum development and success. County Teams train twice weekly during Fall and Spring seasons, and play games on the weekends.

Uniform

DAA provides a high quality Nike uniform to County players in age groups U08 - U18. Jerseys and shorts have been purchased by DAA for each player to use for the duration of each season. In exchange, an $80 holding deposit check is required. This check is never cashed and will be destroyed or returned upon the return of the uniform at the end of each season. Please ensure you accurately record Jersey and Short sizes as part of the registration. The collection and deposit and delivery of uniforms will be facilitated by each team’s coach. Players are responsible for purchasing green socks to complete their uniform.

Equipment

Players are required to provide their own equipment:

  • Shin Guards
  • Mouth Guard for Orthodontics
  • Soccer Cleats

Coaching

All county soccer is coached by parent volunteers, guided by our professional coaching curriculum. The program is always looking for more willing volunteers.  If you are able to help in any way please indicate through your registration or by letting the program coordinator know: countysoccer@daagators.org.
