DAA Youth Development Fall 2025 Soccer Season Info Youth Development

Our Youth Development Program is designed to introduce our Davidsonville boys and girls to the game of soccer in a fun environment. The program will concentrate on building comfort and confidence with the ball, while introducing socialization and team building. Smaller field size with 6ft PUGG goals will be used in an effort to best learn the principles of the game. Teams will play 3v3 (U4) and 4v4 (U5-7) format, with no goalie. Less players on the field increases the opportunities for your child to learn and grow with the ball. Roster size will be approximately 6-8 kids per team. All kids will receive at minimum, 50% playing time. There will be one practice (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) and a game each week (Saturday) during the Fall season.

*Special requests for team placement will be considered in line with keeping balanced teams up until the late fee date; however, special requests are not guaranteed.  

Schedule

Practices will begin the week of August 25 with our first games scheduled for September 6. All players are scheduled for 9 practice sessions and 8 games. The season is set to conclude on October 25, with one Rain-Date if necessary on November 1. 

Uniforms

All players will receive a dri-fit style team shirt to wear as their uniform for the season.  The player will keep the shirt at the end of the season.

Equipment

Each player is required to wear shin guards for all practices and games.  Players are highly encouraged, but not required, to wear cleats.  If a player does not have cleats, they should wear tennis shoes. All players should bring their own ball to practice. If you would like to purchase a ball directly from DAA, that option will be made available to you. 

Coaches

We are always looking for volunteers to coach Youth Development soccer.  If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact us. All Volunteer Coaches will be supported with a pre-season “Coaching Education” night, access to a full Training Curriculum and season-long communication and feedback with our Youth Development Director. Coaches will be able to request their preferred practice day/time. You are ALSO eligible for a Registration Discount (limit 2 per team), please let us know if you’d be interested.
